Phone Calls: 24/7 - speak to a nurse
Office Hours: April 2nd & 3rd: Open 12pm-4pm
YES WE ARE OPEN; HOWEVER, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY (March 16th, 2020) WE ARE ASKING OUR CLIENTS TO PLEASE CALL AHEAD TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT: 250-376-4646
March 16th, 2020
Dear Pregnancy Care Centre Clients,
In an effort to protect you, and all of our vulnerable clients, and to minimize the transmission of COVID-19, we will be enacting some new policies until further notice:
Effective immediately, clients will need to call ahead to make appointment. 250-376-4646. The main door will remain unlocked for our normal business hours (M-F 12-4), but the foyer door is locked. We are asking people to call ahead. If they arrive at our door, they may call or knock for assistance.
When clients call in, they will be asked to answer screening questions for COVID-19.
If clients come to the door and knock on the locked door we will do an in person screen.
Unplanned Pregnancy Support appointments are available in person or on the phone based on staffing availability.
The Blessings Boutique will be closed for browsing. Clients who need essential items like diapers can call ahead. We will package the materials and provide them to our clients in the foyer.
Prenatal Education appointments: Our education platform is online and can be sent to clients via text or email. All education will be virtual until further notice.
Mom's groups: Groups for this week will not be running. The program director will contact clients if there are further cancellations
Material Donations: We will not be accepting donations until further notice—EXCEPT for essential items such as diapers, wipes and formula. We can sanitize these packages.
With social distancing, self-isolation periods and sick-time, we may face service interruptions due to staffing shortages. During this time our 24/7 crisis line remains available 250-376-4646.. This line is answered by a Registered Nurse.
These types of policies are starting to be implemented across Canada. It is our hope that we will be a part of minimizing transmission, at the same time as providing much needed services to our clients.
If you have any questions about our services please call.
